Eight Swedish cleantech companies join Investment Accelerator Programme
The Investment Accelerator Programme is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 cohort, bringing together eight Swedish scale up companies developing cutting‑edge solutions for the global energy transition.
The programme, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, is designed to strengthen companies’ investment readiness and connect them with relevant international investors. Access to capital is critical for scaling energy and climate innovations. Through tailored coaching, strategic investor preparation and curated introductions, the Investment Accelerator Programme supports selected companies in preparing for international fundraising processes and long‑term growth.
Following a competitive process with 22 applicant companies, eight participants were selected based on their technological innovation, commercial potential and relevance to the energy system. The programme kicks off in April 2026 and will run through structured investment‑readiness activities, including one‑to‑one coaching and investor engagement.
“This is the fourth batch of companies we are supporting in matching with international investors. We can already now start to see the results. The first two batches with 15 companies have together raised close to 2 billion SEK since joining the accelerator. These are extraordinary results for the companies, and we are very proud to play a role in supporting them on their journey to international capital”, says Sara Persson, Business Developer at the Swedish Energy Agency.
“It’s about driving the next wave of European cleantech,” says Magnus Agerström, Managing Director at Cleantech Scandinavia. “We have the opportunity to build globally competitive industries in areas where there’s often a perception that Europe can’t compete. But we’ve seen time and again that one breakthrough, one innovation that drives costs down enough, can completely change that dynamic. These companies are proving exactly that.”
Over the coming months, the accelerator’s investment-readiness coaches will work closely with the selected founders to refine their fundraising strategies—both for the immediate round and for long-term growth. The program will also sharpen each company’s scale-up roadmap. Once equipped, the startups will be introduced to a curated network of international investors best positioned to support their next stage of growth.
