About us

The Investment Accelerator program aims to help Swedish companies improve their investment readiness in their process of approaching and connecting to international investors.

It has been designed to attract foreign capital to Swedish growth companies in the energy and climate sector, thereby creating growth and jobs in Sweden in the energy and environmental areas. The goal is to pursue a fossil-free society and positively impact climate change indexes.

We recruit Swedish growth companies in the energy and climate sector. The program aims to enhance the companies’ investability and ensure the quality of their presentations and materials before investor meetings and negotiations.

Additionally, the companies are introduced to various international investors. This matchmaking occurs through events where investors and companies gather, direct visits and tours to the companies, and online via direct introductions and individual meetings.

The Investment Accelerator started in 2023, with the first batch of companies, and in 2024 the 2nd batch was admitted to the program. Please read more about the members of the platform in the Companies section.

The program Investment Accelerator is hosted by the Swedish Energy Agency and operated together with Cleantech Scandinavia.

The Swedish Energy Agency

The Swedish Energy Agency’s assignment is to unite sustainability, competitiveness, and security of energy supply for cost-efficient energy systems with minimum impact on health, environment and the climate.

We contribute with data, knowledge, and analyses regarding energy use and supply in Sweden. We are also dedicated to maintaining a secure energy supply on a national level.

We support and fund national research on innovative energy technologies, smart grids, vehicles, and fuels of the future. Furthermore, we support business development, commercialisation, and export of cleantech innovations.

Official statistics and support schemes, such as the Electricity Certificate System and the EU Emission Trading System, are some of the agency’s responsibilities. We participate in international collaboration and provide information on efficient energy use to households, industries, and public authorities.

The Swedish Energy Agency also holds the overall responsibility for the energy sector due to civil preparedness.
